lol,well we had our first ride together today and oh boy he justs sucks my little 350 up and spits it out...wow.. he did race a banshee and a 400 ex he won 2 out of 3 and he don't even know how to ride it yet.i thought about giving the old warrior a new life by rebuilding my motor{i mean face it it is a 97 and it's been rode hard and put up wet many times} but even then i don't know if i can hang with him.i looked at the yfz and i don't like how the seat and ever thing is{and i don't have the money for another atv}but to me the raptor seems like it would be a better ride.hopefully i can tinker with the warrior and at least be able to hang with him...only time will tell but i'm not getting my hopes up.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

if you're going to rebuild the motor you might as well put in a high compression piston, get a port polish, and a 5 angle valve job. That might be enough to keep up with the 400. z400's really aren't that much faster than a warrior that runs good, so it won't take you too many mods to keep up with him.

i don't know man he suck me up and spit me out.he could give me a couple links and bam he was past me..lol unless i cut him off and then i got a love tap.i just don't see a warrior running against it.or down the road he would keep pulling away from me..like i said i need more fire power.now the warrior has a white bros pipe, k&n,jet kit,and the dyna cdi but now i'm thinking maybe some rocket boosters..hell might as well put some wings on it to.

there's plenty of warriors around here that can take a z400 without a problem. warriors respond pretty good to little motor mods like that. If you really wanna make him cry get a 446 big bore stroker kit, and a good exhaust, they you can take a piped raptor in a drag race.

 

yeah but thats some crazy cash to put in a warrior. but i see your point

 

I think before I put all that money into your Warrior's engine Id just try to find a good used Raptor 660R.

but then you don't get the pure pleasure you can get from beating these guys that think they're better than you just because their quad is newer. i'd rather have a 446 warrior than a raptor 660, gives you more bragging rights

LOL yea that might work for short drags, but now what you gonna put Elkas all the way around in an effort to keep up in the trails or around a track? And what about endurance, do you really think that would be reliable riding around in the trails all day.
