MY OPINION
if your good rider and can shift your gears do the bet!!!!!! the 400 has no paddles which will make him dig down alot also weighs alot more.... and for the person that said the 400 has only a slip on pipe woopty doo thats all a 4 stroke needs they got just a regular pipe with a quiet silencer factory... it no like a two stroke that comes with a pipe that has fiberglass and stuff in it to increase back pressure and quiet it down and two strokes also after that have a silencer..... POINT IS TWO STROKE ARE THE ONES THAT NEED THE WHOLE PIPE AND SILENCER to increase power...
i got a 02 blaster with a 40 over piston and a fmf silencer with no pipe and on a gravel rode i can take outta the hole but then he slowly pulls away from me and his is bored cammed and piped!!!!
people that say the blasters aint that fast they prob got 450r and raptors which of course the 450 is pretty much factory race qaud and raptor is 660 or 700 which is more than triple the CC's!!!!!

Why the hell does everybody have to bring back these old threads? This thread's last post was in 2005, then somebody just totally randomly brings it back to post their 2 cents on it when it really has no relevance.

 

I dunno, but it was a good read, with lots of laughs.
I will say this Blasters a great machines for what they are. Sand Drags, ahe if ou got the money to burn one up every couple rides, if you ride it hard, if not quit riding.

As far as the outcome its been stated and saw the results.

.... No Power band upgrade on the Honda.... Shoulda gone at least with the green one to offset all the mods on the Blaster.

 

i say that the 400ex will eat it up, even though the blaster has all the upgrades and paddles. i have a 300ex(jetted and piped) and i beat a blaster with dg silencer v-force reeds and lid removed and he was bored out .20 over. i'm not gonna lie it was close the whole race. i won by about a half quad length

 

im afraide hes right man.. its a 200 vs 400ex ofcourse you got no chance in beating him.. the only way you will beta him is if u get a 240kit. without it u have no chance your throwing way 100$ man.

have had the quad for 9 months now. i got riding every weekend with my budys. so far the quads ive owned: Raptor 350, 300ex, raptor 660 with aftermarket exaust. trailblazer 250. just barly lost by a nose to a very modded yfz450.

i dont own a balster but i have ridin one and 400ex arent that fast either. the blaster is alot lighter than the 400ex and with the mods he has he will own that 400ex no matter what you say. yeah there are better atvs than the blaster and there are better atvs than the 400ex too. its like the banshee and the raptors, every one says their atv is faster. i have a banshee and my friend has a raptor and he says his is faster but when you put them on the track, mine has more mods and his is stock, mine wins. its all about the mods.

 

you tools must of missed the issue of the blaster VS the raptor 250. the raptor 250 won hand down. and to think it would beat a 400ex is laughable.

 

yeah maybe stock vs stock

 

tha 400ex would win, not by much but it would win even with a 280 pound man on it.
