But if you want to go with a new AM stem I agree that running lower bars like the CR's is a great idea. FMF, renthal, tag, and some others have charts on thier sites listing the height of their bars. It makes for good reading and research.[/quote]

I don't know that a stock YFZ stem is the answer either. They aren't much stronger than what is already on your quad. You might be better off just going aftermarket.

yfz stem is the same basic material and an inch shorter (at least they were in 04). meaning that you probably would have clearance issues with most bars, maybe even the stockers.
