Anybody heard of this??? In Calif., you can't register a dirt bike as street legal anymore, unless it comes that way from the factory. The other day I saw a WR at the dealership, and it was a street legal dual sport. I follow dirt bikes fairly closely (because that it where our future ATV engines come from), but somehow I missed this one. Nothing on the Yamaha web site either. Any info.???

 

OK, I'm bumping this thread because I have an huge interest in this. If I could get a street legal (California) WR450 I'd be all over it. Any more info. on this recon?

 

Yeah, I've been thinking about getting a dual sport bike for a while. Yamaha did have the XT350 dual sport. It was nice but they stopped making it a few years back. Oh well.

 

Yea, I'm wanting to get one later this year. I'm just really surprised that Yamaha doesn't have a strong market for this. If they could make the WR450 a dual sport version I would definately buy one.
