I will be looking at 3 Warriors to buy this weekend. Two of the three Warriors owners claim "low hours". What can I look for as far as wear items to substantiate the claims? Also, on a Warrior, what should I look for on the quad as a sure sign not to buy?

Thanks

One thing to look for are worn bearings, by jacking up the rear wheels and attempting to detect play by grasping the tire at 9:00 0'clock & 3 0'clock & wiggling the tire toward you & away from you. Then by doing the same at 12:00 0clock & 6 0'clock . If play is detected, bearings are likely worn & need to be replaced.
Another spot to look at is where the frame down tubes join the side rails. This is a common location of cracks in the Warrior frame, about an $800 to replace.
Another is to check the filter condition and pull it to look into the air intake for signs of dirt. If the filter is a stock one, dirt is a good possibility and signs in the intake means that there is probably dirt in the engine..bad news!
Those ar a couple of less obvious signs of poor maintenance aside from the more obvious cosmetic ones

Yep. Maintenance is the main thing.
If the guy doesn't seem to have done much on his atv, forget it. I did this error on a 2 year old banshee, and I've had troubles for 1 month. When I say troubles I mean that I couldn't complete a ride without breaking... Now it works fine.
