I got my azz handed to me by a drag Predator at an 1/8 mile asphalt race last summer. It was stripped down to bare bones with a bunch of lightweight parts. We didn't talk specifics but the guy said it was bored and stroked on top of the NOS bottle. It was a lot faster than I expected, I now have respect for drag Predators...

 

Really? Well that is nice to know.....I didn't know they were competitive with the rappys yet. Doug only runs race gas, not nos. I don't know why, I guess he just doesn't really believe in going fast with the help of nos. He also still has shocks......



What does a really quick big bore rappy run??(on asphalt)

 

a huge single cylinder 4-stroke is capable of 150+HP and 120+ ft-lbs torque. Put this in a lightweight drag frame around 300 lbs and it will put down some unbelievable times in 300 feet. if you have the $ it is not that hard.

 

Ask Rapturd if he's broken 7.0 yet. If not, he's darned close.

 

Big Scary- I already said Finish line beat me. It did not hurt my feelings, but then again i did not lose to them on a banshee.

As Far as owning a fast quad, i do need to upgrade. My current build is not competitive with what is currently being run out there on the 300 foot drag strips. I am pretty sure Bob could work me into the scheldue if i feel the need.

RoostKlown- Your banshee can not handle the local built rappies in your backyard. Plus you are not going to leave AZ and race anywhere else anyways.

Really? I guess your right, since Ive never raced many Raptors, its just not fair. For them that is. I stick to banshees and must say, do quite well with my lil 'ol 350..

I know they were a few tenths under 7 sec and based on the 60 ft times, there are a few more tenths in there. They were having traction problems (not enough traction with 10" ARs!!) and were making it up on the big end. If they get the 60 ft times down where they belong, they'll be under 6.5 for sure.

 

that's a fast raptor......I'd like to see it in action.....or see some video....
