How the hell do you raise the shifter??

Just got some boots and can't get the shifter to raise up.....something special you have to do to get the shifter off the shaft????

Oh I guess you need to know the bike....its a raptor

you will have to replace the adjuster with a longer one.

How do you get it off the shaft though?

Use the adjuster. You don't have to pull the shifter off the shaft. Just loosen the 2 nuts for the linkage and turn the middle piece then re-tighten the lock nuts. If you need more space then that just bend the lever a little bit or get a longer adj. screw. Later

Wow didn't think of that......maybe thats why they call it an adjuster...hmmm....too used to the tecate and 400ex....always had to take off the shifter....anyways thanks for the help

By the way how do you like the CS ign. advance and how hard was it to put on,,,,Do you have a flywheel puller that fits?

you dont take the shifter off. the link between the shifter and the shifter shaft is the adjuster.
you have to undo the lock nuts on both sides (the one is right hand thread and the other is left hand thread ) and unscrew the adjuster. the standerd adjuster is to short to compensate for the amount of lift you need for riding boots.
