I recently took my banshee apart-planning on reboring my cylinders. I inspected the cylinders and they were well within the tolerance, so I decided to just replace the pistons. After rebuilding it, I did a compression test and each cylinder gets only 125psi. What is the stock compression? The thing that I don't understand is that the head was milled by the previous owner, 125psi seems too low for a shaved head. Any help would be much appreciated.

 

It all depends on how much it was shaved and how extensive the portwork is.The more exhaust timing you have the less your compression will be.Also did he take it to the local machineshop and have it shaved or did he actually send it to someone who rechambered it after it was cut down?

 

Fbombers is correct, head and port work will make a difference. But stock a banshee is 130psi at sea level.
