Default 2006 Wolverine ?

Hey all, I need your opinions here, I currently have a 2003 Raptor 660, I loved this bike when I first got it, my buddies all had sport bikes so we would spend countless hours racing, cat walking, jumping in the pits etc. Unfortunately most my buddies have all switched to utility quads, and there is only so much fun u can have when u r riding with them on a sport quad, u race ahead, u stop u wait. I am thinking about trading it in at the local dealer, one bike that has caught my eye is the new Wolverine.

I am thinking I may get the best of both worlds with this bike ? Do u think I will be satisfied with this bike or should I go for the kodiak?

Also, is it even possible to put a plow on a wolverine?

I think the wolverine would seem too slow for you maybe a grizzly or another big bore

Any thing is possible if you put your mind to it!

Sounds like you need to trade in your riding buddies (seriously)! I have a couple of groups of guys that I ride with and we go out and tear up. Once in a while I ride with "friends" who are a lot less serious about our hobby. So far it's been a pretty good balance of friends and real riding.

If you're really considering an anti-sport ATV, maybe golf is more your thing.

Well, what kind of utes are thay riding? I would love to see someone do a shootout between the sportier 4x's such as the BF650, new Wolverine, and the Scrambler. From the sound of it, the new Wolverine isn't going to satisfy your need for speed very well though. For some reason, Yamaha is capable of making screamer engines for sport/race applications, but is a bit behind the times when it comes to performance on their utility quads.

IMO, I don't think the Wolverine would suit your needs after riding a Raptor. If you're looking for something that pulls double duty, look for something with a low-range. The Wolverine does'nt have it. Either go with a Kodiak (same motor as the Wolv), or look to a larger class ute. A SRA will give you a sportier ride i.e. 650 Brute or Vinson. The 650 Brute will give you more bang for your buck.

IMHO the new Wolverine will not suit your tastes. I would rather have my current old Wolverine than the new one after the things i have read on it. I think you should look into the 700 Prairie from Kaw. That is a machine that can be ridden great the way it is or mod up and should be able to smoke all your friends(depending on all the usuals). There are guys on here that have set them up with 22" sport tires for handleing. You will have a solid rear axle plus low range for when in the hill climbs and serious mudding. It will probably be my next bike when I can afford it.

Default 2006 Wolverine ?

i myslef want a 2006 wolverine 450 4x4. i live in canada so i get lots of snow i want something thats not
to big but is okay. this will be my first atv. but i read alot on them. but people have there own opinions so if u want it go for it. i like the wolverines look and everything but i am only 13 sooo i want a wolverine and if i have a problem with it i will bring it into the shop. go to your delear and ask if they will let u test drive it for a day. i myself have already i am gettin one tommorow and i am excited. it goes 50 around there and to me thats fast. my next door neighbor he has a z400 and man that things fast but hes 12 and been riding for 9 yrs so he is good
He says a wolverine should do the trick because this new wolverine willl go at slow speeds if you want it to with now problem. but it will still go around the high 50s but with you having a raptor wow thats cool but to me i couldent do clutch so i got to the wolverine i will get back to you tommorow and tell you how it is.

peace out
