Works - 315 bucks for the cheapest dual rate
YFZ - 100-250 bucks and you get a fully adjustable, resivioured shock with a thicker body and shaft. With the remaining price difference you can have them revalved for your bike.

Now what part of a dual rate at steeler do you think is better?

First off pal, it is highly unlikely that you will find brand new yfz shocks for 100-200 bucks. There is a lot of hype surrounding the yfz's shocks, they are not that great.

Well pal, I got two sets of brand new take offs about a year ago for 250 combined. That includes shipping from two different sellers. They were very hot then and there were a lot fewer sets out there. Not my fault you cant wheel and deal.

Have you installed a set on a raptor? Have you then compared them to your works dual rate steelers? I had triple rate no rez at-steelers on my raptor, I sold them after I rode it with my yfz shocks. Just what is your reason for saying that they arent that great? Ever ridden a set of revalved and rebuilt yfz shocks?

I rode a yfz with aftermarket a arms and revalved shocks, and the thing was an uncomfortable ride. Unless you were haulin, it was not a pleasant ride

Have you ridden an oem yfz to compare the ride to? The yfz in general is pretty stiff compared to other offerings.

In any case, I'm guessing the member isnt looking for oem yfz shocks to put on his yfz, but rather on a another atv. A raptor 660 judging from the avatar, which does benefit from these shocks. Different geometry, increased weight, and other factors help soften the ride as does a few minutes spent adjusting the shocks. Something you cant do with the dual rate at-steelers.

Ya, i have ridden a stock yfz, which was not a grat ride either. I am 6'2 and weigh 205 pounds, and it was not set to my weight. Works will set the shock to your weight and riding style.

hey, guys nice to hear from you all. as you know i am a newbe and as i was reading these replys i realized i am missing some important info. this happend to me on a 04 kodiak, and well as you all know thier is not alot of aftermarket parts out thier for guys like me. I am getting years under my belt but in my earlier days the yzf would be in my garadge. Dont get me wrong though, thier are 5 of us that ride every week and ride we do.""" After i had my shock let go it took out my swing arm and looking at that i couldnt beleave what junk that was.I was woundering if anyone found anything aftermarket that would regain my faith about truly awsome parts? the oem parts just dont cut it.Again thanks for the replys you guys are the best."""""
