I have a 350 raptor with some stuff done ( read my signature), my friend just bought a 400EX with a DMC ALien pipe and it is jetted. How will this two quads compare??
I'll appreciate any responses.

 

It will be close with both mods but as bad as i hate to say it the 400ex will prob pull on you just becouse he has about 50cc more. but a few mods on your little rappy u can out run him.

 

The 400 would get ya. Not by a lot but it should be able to get it done

 

yea i thought so, i appreciate all the replies, what inexpensive mod do you think i should go with for my raptor? I cant really afford alot but i was thinking maybe a cam or sumthing like that?

 

next mods I did after exaust intake on my wolverine (same engine) was to do a white brothers cam and a wiseco high compression piston. Yeah id put cam as next on your list of things to do. let my bike rev out a lot nicer

 

Something that suprised me i bought that computer programable Dyna Ignition $500.00. Anyway that thing is Awsome you get your Ignition box and you have to order your programing dist sepreat. anyway you have to hook your atv up to the computer when you get everything loaded you can do things from riseing and lowering your rev limiter. you can ad a lawnch limiter. you can even like if your loseing power in mide range you can rise up your mid range power. it does it some how by retarding and advanceing your timing. i think it was well worth $500.00. well i ran with a 400ex before and could take the 400 off the line and he beats me when i hit about 5th cause hes only in like 4th so the 400 has much more top end mid range pull. With the correct gearing and jetting the raptor can put up a good run tho

 

Close race, comes down to skill. But the 400 would probably win
