I just received my new half shaft from ATV Nation for the front. The other day when I took the old cv joint out I ran into a problem. The outer bearing that broke into pieces still had the base of the bearing on the end of the shaft. This had a internal clip that is impossible to get to. I had to carefully grind the part without hurting the shaft. This worked fine but why didn't the guy at ATV Nation tell me this. If the bearing had not broke I would have had to replace the whole shaft. So I will be putting it back in today. What this boils down to is if this happens again I will need to repace the whole shaft not the half shaft.
