Default Raptor 660r Carb overflow.

I get some fuel coming out of the bottom of the bowel in both carbs. Coming from the overflow/drain. I will smell fuel at times when I am at a stop when riding. It is not all the time. Also if I just have it sitting parked and move it around I will smell fuel and see fuel drip out of the drain/overflow. I can rock the quad back and forth and see gas drip out. Whats up w/that? Or is it common with the Raptor?

is the overflow you are talking about, very small and thin, i have the same problem, it drips down onto the starter motor which i think is dangerous, did you figure out what was wrong, sorry for replying to your thread without an answer for you

Mine also drips down onto the Starter. The other Carb has a tube that runs down to the rear swing arm and I will see it being wet.
The overflow/drain looks like a short nipple and has a srew threaded into it. If you back it off gass will start to run out of the carb. So i think it does both drain the card and is a overflow. I was wondering if I was suposed to have a tube on that carb also. I bought the quad used that is why I ask the question. Does it seem like the harder you run it the less often you get the fuel dripping out? Sorry so long.

Sounds like your floats need to be adjusted.

your float needle and seat may not be mating properly,,,or your floats may not be set properly

try checking your float levels using the 'sixsixt method',,,which is searchable on this forum

All raptors have this issue from time to time,,,just a matter of getting em dialed in.

If your smelling fuel,,,it aint right. Also check you airbox and filter to see if fuel is loading up in there too.

So this is a common problem w/the Raptors. Ok then its not just me then. I did not want to mess w/the floats until I knew a little more. I was aslo wondering about the seat. I will start w/the foat adjustment. If it was the seat it would leak out gas costantly though would'nt it?

my 660 was also bought used, both of my carbs are missing that tube, is there ones suppsed to be on them,
when my bike is sitting there turned off, the fuel drips out very very slowly, (only on the left carb) when i rock the bike it flows out much more quickly,
im not too familiar with the engine and dont know about this float thing, coud someone direct me where to look for instructions,

I had to adjust my float bowls. Find happarap on here and ask him how to do it. He gave me instructions and advice that were absolutely perfect.
