Somewhere in the upper 10's or 11's I believe. I've got a feeling that tach wouldnt take the vibration for long.
But it was found under the "ATV" accessories section. Shouldn't it made to be able to handle it? And, is there ANY analog tachs out there for at least 12 rpms?

try this link,,,its one ive been looking at,,,,its good for 1-12 cylinder engines,,,,they just seem a little large,,,,one goes up to 8,000 rpm,,,,the other up to 10,000

if this link doesnt work,,,,just go to JC Whitney, and do a search

it's made for cars, so it might not be that durable. Maybe it is, but the only way to find out is to shell out the money and give it a try.

I guess you didn't look at the 2 links that were just posted. Those are the tachs that we are discussing

Here is the page from the manufacturer, equus.

Equus 8000 series gauges

It makes no mention of offroad applications or any other claims besides a vague "durability" claim.

I've found a few that would work pretty well, problem is they stop at 8k which my raptor exceeds stock and the yfz definately does. I think a tach from a bike or sled would be the best choice, problem is most wont work with the single cylinder.

Anyone know the pulse rate for any of these bikes?

i've thought about using the tach for a ds650 before, which would go high enough for the warrior, but you 450 guys would still be out of luck with that.
