Default RPM gage

Is there any way to mont a rpm and speed gage to my yamaha warrior 350? And if so how and where do i hook it up at? And witch rpm/speed gage can i use?

The tach is simple. You need a source for power, ground, negative side of coil, and light for night operation.

I think it would be easier to use a gps for MPH, than trying to rig some type of speedometer.

they have a speedo and are supposed to be soon releasing their model with a Tachometer as well.

Ok i know about the + and - i need to know where to hook the cable up for the tach? so it would show how many rmp's i am running.

trail tech has been "going to come out with a tach soon" for around 6 months now. I'm not holding my breath, but thier speedometers work well for what they are. GPS is better but more expensive, more fragile, and more difficult to integrate into the bike.

how about if i modded some way for the rpm cable to hook into the cam. would that make the RPM's right?

You dont read the rpms from the camshaft, the drag alone would be enough to nix that idea. Its measured from the coil, and the only way to hook up a tach is to use on specifically for single cylinder engines (hard to come by), know the bike's pulse rate, or buy an aftermarket CDI that has a tach output.
