Default 700 Wins Big Bore shootout in "Quad" Magazine

It did very well amongst the Bombardier and the Kawasaki.

Only thing wrong with the article is that they say the EFI will compensate for a slip on exhaust.

3 things they didnt like about the bike were: Handle bars flexed, seat foam too soft, and front shocks sub par.

I've read a couple of reviews that said the EFI would adjust for intake and exhaust mods.

I believe Yamaha claims it will compensate for removing the airbox lid and removing the baffle, I think I saw one magazine say that Yamaha claimed it would work for a slip on. The users of the 700 claim that's not the case. I dont own one, so I cant say.

No suprise on the shocks vs the bomb, but I thought the overly cushy ride of the 700 (a factor of its weight) would yield to the 700.
