Here's the problem. Engine idles fine. When I give it gas it starts popping and no power. I February an exhaust mounting bolt broke at the head allowing the pipe pipe to come lose. didn't know it until it became very load and big back fire. Had the broken stud repaired and bike seemed ok after. I didn't take it on a long ride only through the parking lot to load it and don't remember anything abnormal. Current problem would be noticable as as throttle was opened. Here's what I know : Plug is wet (smells like gas) and black about 1/8" up the threads. quad has been sitting since february with same gas. I'm going to start simple, new fuel, new plug. I'm thinking maybe a bad valve. I'm looking for any other thoughts. Thanks

 

Sitting since Feb?? New gas and plug is a good start. I'm pretty confident that will fix your problem. Was the gas in the float bowl yellow???

 

Gas was so long in the carb that it needs a cleaning. Take tyour carb apart and it should be good to go.

 

same exact thing happened on my warrior. idles fine.. push throttle.. it goes very slow and pops and sounds bad. Guess what the problem is 99.9% likely to be? the parking brake. it gets stuck a lot and u probably put it on when u last rode in feb.. make sure it is not stuck.

 

Thanks for all teh advice. Bad fuel in the carb seemed to be the problem. Ran fine after I drained the bulb. Thanks again.
