This thing is an animal. I still have my lt250R, and now the raptor 700. These 2 quads are completley diffrent. I can ride the 250 like a mad man. The 700 scares me. I am sure I can adjust to all that TORQUE.

You are right! I was a skeptic when I had to convert from a Quadzilla 500 quad to the Raptor 700. Technology is amazing compared to 1989!. The bike as a whole package is amazing and hard to beat, even when stock. Have fun and enjoy! I know I am!

HA!........Don't get scared now. Save that for when you get the pipe, air, and fuel mods........

Hello... Would someone mind explaining how to remove the stock baffle on an 06' 700? Also, will I need to order up a power commander to make the bike run decent w/o the baffle and a GYTR intake kit? Thanks!

on the bottom of the muffler towards the back there is an "allen keyed" bolt.....remove that then get a pair of plyers and yank like hell....it should come right out. IMO it makes quite a bit of difference (sound and performance). I still have a stock 700 with just the baffel out and the thing is crazy. i see no need for a Power Cammander or reflash. yamaha told me it only needs reflashed if you do a full exhaust and/or high flow filter. Slip on its ok but you would probably want to use a programmer any way.

Take my advice and get the Power Commander before you put the GYT-R intake kit on it. A riding buddy of mine with a 700R had the Filter kit and the baffle out without the PCIII and was extremely lean.

I had the PCIII with the same mods and mine ran perfect. I have since added LTE duals and the more I play with it the more I like the PCIII
