Actually no, Im 21 and at work right now. I know a couple of these Yami guys that are getting a kick out of this, sending me PM's telling me to keep talking smack to you. Its funny, you just dont get it. It isnt about what you ride on this site, its what type of person you are and weather or not all your opinions are bias. Your all about pure yfz and most people on here hate that one sided bull ****.

 

Uh........135boom, my Raptor 700R has DOHC and only 4 valves....... everything else sounded good. BTW, my experience has been that it costs about $2,500 of shop time and componentry to get an '05 or older Honda 450r to run with a piped YFZ 450 under similar conditions. I, personnaly would never own either one because I am old and fat they are uncomfortable. I know for a fact that it takes about $4,000 to make a DS outdrag a YFZ450 but I could out run a piped Honda with just pipe, port and cams which is about $1,000. Since my DS was only $5999 OTD, I can afford to put some mods on it before I have spent as much as you guys.

Dude, I am not ONE SIDED (.) When you compare certain aspects of a 700 to a yfz, your going to have nods in both directions. Same with every quad out there. I will back the 700 for certain things, I certainly back the banshee for being the king in drag racing and a awesome machine for the dunes. One thing I wont back though is the 450r. Just not impressed by it, as is All the magazines. BUT, that is just my opinion. You dont have to like the 700 or the yfz or anything but your 450, I dont care. We all have opinions. That is ALL this site really is. THis thread isnt somewhere I or many others come to make friends. Maybe your a loner, and thats what you have to do to make friends. NOT ME. I come here to share my experiences (as I have owned or do own the majority of what we have talked about) and think I have a lot to add.
I would never stear someone toward a yfz, just cause I like it. All I keep doing is raising the bs flag when people are saying things that are absolutely wrong.

Well, thanks for your reply and I hate to break it to you, but it is not DOHC. Go to yamaha-motor.com and see for yourself. I will copy and paste it on here for ya: "686cc, 4-Stroke Single, Liquid Cooled w/ Fan, SOHC" That is straight from yamaha.
How are you liking your 700? Havnt got to spend much time on mine, due to snow. But I have liked it thus far!
