Uh........135boom, my Raptor 700R has DOHC and only 4 valves....... everything else sounded good. BTW, my experience has been that it costs about $2,500 of shop time and componentry to get an '05 or older Honda 450r to run with a piped YFZ 450 under similar conditions. I, personnaly would never own either one because I am old and fat they are uncomfortable. Well if you have, I have yet to see it! I really dont care anymore, your right. I feel confident in what I say. YOu can agree to disagree with what I say, I dont care. Like I said, everyone has there opinion.
But, like everyone else around here, I have just as much of a right to speak out on my experiences. If I am "one sided", then I am one sided to yamaha quads in general, cause I like them all. This is a yamaha thread afterall!

I like our 700R. It is what my wife rides and she loves it even more. I am a DS man. After riding the DSpig, the other bikes feel kind of buzzy and harsh. The 700R is impressive though. It pulls away from 450R's stock. Your buddy here isn't the only guy to get taken by a Honda shop. I can understand why he is pissed. After being told by a Honda salesman that it would spank a YFZ, then getting his a$$ handed to him week after week, that would be tough to live with. It isn't like you can go out and buy another quad that is actually fast at the age of 21. The payments on the first one have to be burden enough as it is. I feel for ya 1bad450r. I really do.
Worst thing about buying a used Honda is the plastics have all been sandblasted so bad.

Pick any Honda guy and ask him to identify a given quad, he will invariably walk around to get a good look at the back of it to recognize it.
Actually I happen to like Honda quality. Unfortunately, Honda's are never loved by their owners, they are always "just friends".
