Default More Tire Questions?

I am between Mud Lites, and Bear Claw but have a couple more specific questions.

Is there an advantage to radials?
Any disadvantage to redials?
Besides clearance is there any advantage to going up 1 size?
Can you notice a loss of power going up one size?

Default More Tire Questions?

Is there any advantage to radials?

I have not personally put radials on my machine, but from my understanding they do ride better.

Any disadvantage to radials?

Not that I know of besides the higher price.

Besides clearence is there any advantage to going up 1 size?

Not really, going from 25" tires to 26" tires does not give you that much. Unless you are going for looks. For each inch you go up in tire size you only gain 1/2 inch ground clearence.

Can you notice a loss of power going up one size?

Yes, from what I hear it is noticable. Depending on the size of engine that is in your atv is to whether I would go for it or not. If it was me I would skip the 26's and go with 25's. You are only gaining 1/2 inch of clearence by going up 1 size. I have 25" mud Lite XL's and love them. There is no power loss because they are stock size, and you are still getting the deep lugs as the larger tires since it is the XL model. They are a great lightweight durable tire. Price is good too, $238 OTD is what I paid.
