Default Smokin' deal on a 06' 700 Raptor...

Help! I'm tired of playing games with the big name motorcycle stealerships here in Phoenix, AZ. Does anyone know of a dealer who wants to sell a new 700R Raptor for a fair price? I've also entertained the thought of buying out of state and having it shipped.
Has anyone ever done this and care to offer advice?

I just got home from several dealerships... They won't go below $7800.00 OTD... WTF?

Thanks in advance for any advice you might offer.

Alot of dealers wont ship because of fear of getting in trouble with there franchise agreement. That said Im sure there are some that will. There is a dealer around me that sells the 700's for $6194 OTD (they wont ship) so at least might show you what is possible for a dealer to do on price if they want.

Get an online quote from www.lacyclesports.com and then call Carefree Yamaha and they should match it over the phone. I did this back in Sept and got it for 7300.00 OTD

thanks bberck... Does anyone know any inside info on what the dealer/stealers are paying for these?

That's funny about your local dealership - These clowns over here in AZ were quoting me $8400 OTD... And they looked so offended when I fell out of my chair and began laughing.

Dealer Invoice Report
2006 Raptor 700
List Price: $6999
Dealer Invoice: $5959
Dealer invoice price includes $150 freight charge for shipping from the manufacturer to the dealership.
Assembly Cost: $75 per Yamaha pricesheet
Each dealership has its own method of figuring actual cost of assembly and preparation for sale.
There is no reimbursement by the factory for this cost to the dealer.
Ready to sell cost: $6034
This model Yamaha ATV has 3% (of list price) dealer holdback.
This holdback money is paid to dealers in at the end of the model year for units that are sold within the previous 12 months. Dealers must pay Yamaha the full "Dealer Invoice" price and wait up to 12 months after selling the machine to receive their dealer holdback.
Wholesale Incentives: none for this model
Retail Incentives: none for this model
The "Ready to sell cost" is the cost of the machine with NO PROFIT to a dealer. Dealers do not stay in business very long by selling machines for no profit.
Many dealers charge additional fees for "Freight and Setup" over and above the selling price of the machine. Add the "Selling Price" to the "Freight and Setup" charges and subtract the "Ready to sell cost" to determine the PROFIT a dealer is asking to make.

Carefree Yamaha told me this was accurate.

A buddy of mine just bought the 06 700 Raptor for $7400 OTD from the dealership on I17 and Carefree Highway. He shopped around and that guy had the best price around Phoenix.
