The 4 strokes are the future, no doubt about it.......even though a lot of us would like to see it otherways......I went to a 4 stroke, and love it. No more hassles, and I have smooth, even power......All the way through the powerband, instead of just in the high rpm's.....

Oh.......and my vote for the next 2 stroke(that is if I you can't be convinced to atleast go and test ride a new 4 stroke).....then I'd say a shee if you want to drag or dune......or a 250r if you like the woods and moto racing.......

..........I agree with you! 250r for woods and mx, banshee for dunes and drags

I do like four strokes. But I like 2 stroke power. I agree with the fact that if you own a banshee, it wont out run a 450, but it will if it is a drag racer or a different engine. I also never said that a 2 stroke would outrun or outhandle a 450. And you can call me P.J.

My wife has 2 of the 250R's, one for drag racing and an all around bike. They can be made into anything you want with the setup. If you want something cheap but good look into the LT250R Suzuki 88-92 year models. The only reason they arent big in the industry is because they never made it in the MX scene like the Hondas. They are very reliable and run well too. I personally love the Banshee, there is nothing like it period, but it is not for everyone.

.........no no, I know you didnt. "zillarider" said that his banshee will outhandle 450's. I was stating that that is incorrect.

oh. sorry. Im a " newer" quad rider. But I have ridden alot of different quads. Im only 13 1/2. But, I have ridden a Z-400, and it was nice. It seems like a good trail quad, but I see it on the racetrack more. But now that I've thought about it, I might put some more aftermarket parts on it. It's fun, But I bought it used, and the tires suck! it has 18's in the rear, which suck on the local trails. I would race it, but my parents might say no. But I do more trail riding anyway. I might put a new fuul exhaust on it, new tires and rims, new plastics, and stuff like that, to make it look more like "my quad" , than someone else doing it for me. Do you think a 240 bore kit is worth it?

How is finding parts for something like that. Its kind of a off brand. How about getting it serviced, or any aftermarket parts????

aftermarket parts are not that plentyfull, but alot of std wear items intechange with other bikes.the non racer wont need any aftermarket parts anyway, there are suspensoin parts out there as well, graphic kits, seat covers, radiators, and lots of other stuff. no one builds a pipe for the 300 at this time though, but the stock pipe works pretty well. any gasgas dealer can get parts and there are plenty in the country

Sounds like a BORING style of power to me. Give me a thrilling light switch powerband anyday. The kind where you hit it, and it jolts you to your core. Only a 2-stroke delivers that, no matter how much better the new 4-strokes are getting.
