coil problems

i have a 2003 kodiak 450 and it qiut on me yesterday and i think my ciol is bad , does anybody know if all yamaha coils are the same thanks

Got to yamaha's web site and look up the part number. Compare it to the part number for the quad you are wanting to pull it off of.

The coils rarely ever go bad, did you ohm check it?

ya i did check it, if i was doing it right it was 0 on 3 different meters but the plug wire tested good.
