you have to be 16 and under to race a blaster or 300ex..The only real races they have for them is youth production..I guess you could run open class but that would probably just be for a learning experience because there is some beasts in that class(if your talking about MX that is)..

The only concern that you may have with the blaster is the size. I am 6'1" and felt cramped on the Blasters I have ridden. I must admit though, they were fun as hell.
Admittadly, I am not the greatest rider out there so, it was nice to be able to "muscle" a quad around. Instead of getting slapped around like my Raptor does to me sometimes.

Good luck.

Not knocking 2 strokes but when we rode 300 hondas and 250 Zuki 4 strokes back in the early 90s everytime a 2 stroker went with us we had to wait -------- Problems, seriuosly if you are gonna race on the track or just trail ride, save your money til you can get a good and newer 4 stroke , you do have a tough decision to make but, think about your big bear have you had many probs. with it ? Ok its down on power a bit and is not fun to ride anymore but you do have something to ride again, save up til you can get what you really want , you will be much more satisfied. Thats the fatherly advice I gave to my son , GOOD LUCK.
