I'm sure your pred can....but mod for mod, my money is on the yfz! There are already some pretty fast 700r out there, and if you know how to ride 'em, you can beat people on faster machines. I have spanked my buddies stock yfz out in front of my house, but then we traded riders, and then I spanked him really bad on his yfz, while he was on my 700.
Most guys are getting about 50 horse out of the 700 with pipe, intake and ecu. Not too shabby!!!

I had a 03 predator and yfz was quicker than my predator, I'm not a Yamaha guy at all. I had to do a lot of work to beat yfz450, but it can be done.

CRAYCRAFT RACING HOME OF WORLDS FASTEST RAPTORS

Ive been out of the game for a few years and always rode a banshee. Well a few months ago I decided to get a new bike. I did months of research and decided the predator was the best all around bike, Period. Good for everything. Well Ive been out riding numberous times at the local hotspot. Tons of people are there everytime. Last time I went there, there was a group of guys there. Most of whom were riding yamahas. One raptor 660 with fmf pipe, intake, and of course jetted. A brand new yfz450 stock and a modded banshee. Also a couple other quads, 350s and 400s. Well they all decided to do some racing so I joined in. First race was me vs. the infamous 450. Well lets just say after 4 attempts and him getting his *** handed to him everytime I went on to the next victim. Even when he got me out of the hole one time I still just went right on by him. Next was the raptor, dude challenged me straight up right in front of everyone. So we went at it twice. First race he got me out of the hole good and I just went by him in 3rd. Next race I just tore him down. I raced a few others but just no comparison. My bike is bonestock and was only on its second take full at that point. I think you yamaha boys need to get your facts straight when you are comparing these bikes. Come on the predator dynos 42whp from the factory. Very strong powerband. It takes a pipe on the yfz450 to even hang. Look at the dyno graphs on CT's website. Maybe you will learn something. Predators dyno 45-50whp with just a slip on. As for the guy on the banshee he had already lost to the yzf450 before that so he didnt want to race me. In the dunes he should be able to beat all of us. But on the dirt he just couldnt hang. I miss my banshee but this predator is just straight up badass.
Ps. My other choice was the 450, I went with the better value and better all around bike. I still love yamaha but give props were props are due. Haters.

I have no reason to stretch the truth. This bike hauls *** plain an simple. I wouldnt waste my time. And thanks for the welcome. Im so glad I got back into the sport. My friend just bought a used z400 and is waiting to buy the 450r in february. Im gonna by the wolverine for my lady, so believe me Im not biased towards any bike. I like whatever is cool. Wolverine will be a great second bike. 4wd on the fly.
