Going to cash in a gift card, and wondering what socket sizes I need to keep on hand if I am going to start doing my own maintanance. My first job will be a CV Cleaning and rebooting.

I know metric, but do I need half inch or 3/8 drive, and what sizes of sockets.

 

I'd just get an entire 3/8 drive metric socket set. The most common sizes are between 10mm and 19mm, but they can go as high as 27mm when you start working on major components..
