Same here. I rode a 440ex and a banshee with a twist throttle and didn't like them at all. They work alright on bikes because you don't need to turn the handlebars or lean into the corner much, but with the quads I found myself punching the throttle every time I went into a turn, I put the 440 into a wheelie going into a corner once, and that was a scary experience. Luckily for me he had already ordered a new bumper for it so he didn't mind too much that his old one was mangled by a tree.

personaly i would not put one on my bike. i road my friends banshee with twist grip and i felt it was uncomfertable to ride on trails and any time i had to turn. on strait aways it was a blast but any othertime i didnt like it. my friend had the motion pro on his banshee... he eventualy took it off and went back to thumb

It depends on the rider I guess...
When I bought my bike, the previous owner installed the twist throttle.
Now, for me, this is my first ATV. I've ridden motorcycles for a few years prior, so the twist wasn't a big deal for me.
I live in Ontario, Canada; so right now I'm doing winter riding. All of my friends with thumb throttles find that their thumb is going numb from the cold; whilst I am ready for more.
