does anyone know if the sleeve on a yz125 is nickel coated?

can i get one off ebay and pop it in?

buddy wants to sell me his Dirtbike for a good deal but needs a rebuild

 

depends on what year it is, the late model years were nickisal coated(probably 96 and up). i dont think u can get a new sleeve for them, ull prolly have to get a new cylinder. u can bore them out 60 over untill the wall begins to be to thin(so as i was told, but id ask around). if it just needs a touch up job u can just get it honed,new piston,rings, clean the pv's and itll be good to go.

 

there are some from weisco on ebay, going for about 100 bucks
