Check your spark plug wire for any cracks follow it al lthe way back and check it all over, i know its a long shot but it happened to me i had no spark could not figure out why found out there was a short way back in the wire. good luck

Theres not a way to check the cdi, other to swap it into another working quad. Usually in the troubleshooting, if everything else checks ok, then the cdi is bad. Theres a list of things to check in the service manual.
What are the circumstances of the dead motor? You were holding it wide open at 55 and it quit? You stopped for a break and it wouldnt come back on? You were stuck in a mudhole and it shut off?
Tried bypassing the kill switch? New spark plug? Checked connectors for haveing water in them.
Does the starter spin the motor, and theres just no spark? Is there spark using the rope pull?

Try a new plug and see if itll spark by using the rope pull.
Make sure the kill switch is in run.
Check the fuse, the ign fuse, and the main fuse.
Check the resistance of the spark plug cap...should be about 10k ohms.
Then its on to checking the ohms of the coil, primary and seconadry sides, and then the stator. pickup coil resistance of the white/red to the white /greeen, should be 459 to 561 ohms, at 68 degrees.
Let us know what is found.
