Worn out front wheel bearings on Grizzly
#1
Looking for some advice or a good web site on changing the front wheel bearings on my Grizzly. The book I have calls for a puller for the upper ball joint and the tie rod. Only 900 miles and both sides are shot. Does anyone else think thats kinda soon. I do ride alot of rocks.

I just changed mine this past Sept. and 1 on the left rear, it really depends on the amount of mud riding you do. They are fairly easy to change .To get the balljoints and tie rods out just tap on the Bearing hub where the shank goes through , careful not to hit the threads. Mine popped right out . Do you u8se a pressure washer to clean the quad ? I usually dont but im sure it doesnt help the bearings.

I used a pressure washer a few times but then learned it was not a good idea so now I don't. I'll be working on it after New Years and I will let you know how I make out.

The problem I am having now is that the bearings fell apart when I took out the axle. I have not been able to get the outside races out of the hubs. Anyone have a trick for this?
