Default Proper Mixture ratio????

99 Blaster all stock with auto oiler. I wanna do away with the auto oiler but I can't afford the block off for it right now.... can I pinch the the line for now and just premix the gas/oil myself???? if so whats the proper mixture ratio?

also I was wondering how much oil to put back in the lower end when I drain and refill it I have searched the cases over and found no labels or marking of anykind to tell me how much I was told 10/40 motor oil would do the trick is this true?

Im not for sure if blocking off the hose would work, you might have to save up and invest into an oil injection block off kit. All it is, is a little plastic gear inside the motor has a reputation of breaking and causing no oil flow to the motor, then leads to a seized up motor. Ive heard ratios of 32:1, 40:1, so on and so on.

32:1 is what the manufacturers recommend for other non oil injected 2 strokes. There is a sight glass on the right side of the case. Fill the tranny with gear oil till the oil level in midway up the glass.

I used bel-ray tranny fluid. It says that it's motorcycle and atv specific. I would really think that any kind of motor oil would work alright though. You might want to stay away from multiviscosity though. It might get too thick and mess something up.
