450 wolverine is it worth it ??
Radarmanz28,
Please let me know how the new Wolverine 450 does in the dunes. I am considering buying one for my youngest daughter. She's outgrown the Polaris TrailBoss, but she's struggling with the clutch on my oldest daughter's LTZ400, so I'm trying to decide between the automatic Wolverine or another LTZ400.

I think it is a great dune bike. Went back up to Little Sahara saturday and had a blast. I'm still babying it but it does everything I want. No problems at all on the biggest dunes and was tearing up the trails on the backside. Seems to do just what it was built for, trail bike with a little bit of sport in it.

I to like the looks and the idea that the Wolverine has been built on. It is on the top of the list for me. But,,,, there must be some down sides to the unit even if they are small. If you could change something on it what would it be and how would you do it? There is always room for improvement.

Well I guess I am one of the few that dont like it! I have the older 350 Wolverine and am very happy with it so I went and bought a new one for the wife aswell. It may be a 450 but it sure is alot slower due to the fully auto tranny! It robs the power I swear! I dont know why yamaha had to ruin such a good machine. Oh well Im sure lots of newbies and novices will think its great.

I'm not a newbie or a novice. Guess my problem is I'm just not stuck in the past. I have had mine in the dunes and on the most technical trails around, anyone who watched the Ironman Last Man Standing race will know where I was. There isn't anywhere this thing hasn't gone yet.
