If you're clueless you probably dont want to be doing this on your own. I dont see any link to a piston so I cant answer much. Any stock bore piston will at least need the cylinder honed before it can be installed assuming the stock cylinder is still small enough to accomodate another stock sized piston without blowbye.

With that piston all you have to do is hone the cylinder and drop it in. If I were you id go with a 100.5 or 101mm piston. The 11:1 piston will work great with the HC S1.
Enjoy the new HP!

i would leave it at the stcok bore 100mm, and with the money you save on not having to bore it, buy a better piston
nothign wrong with Wiseco(i run it)
but if i were to do it again i would us a Ross, or a CP

thats exactly what i want to do..i dont want to bore it bigger etc..i just want a better performing piston and just drop it in...im going to get the hotcam stage 1 and wanted to get an aftermarket piston to just drop it in without having to do anyting else since i have the engine apart.

yeah i was looking at the CP pistons also..i might get them.

I'm doing the exact same thing. I'm having a shop do it for me, though. What I want to do is just drop in a stock-bore piston with new rings and gaskets. I won't know if I can do this until they take the head off and tell me what the cylinder looks like. If I don't have to bore it, I'm going to drop a stage 1 hotcam in as well.

I'm probably going to go with Wiseco for the piston. How about their gaskets? Should I buy Yamaha gaskets? Is there a better piston too?

I use Cometic gaskets. I dropped in a stock bore 11:1 wiseco with my stage 1, but you guys might not be able to....depends on how the cylinder is.
