i have a 2001 warrior and so far i love it. i was riding a 250 recon at turkey bay and it was alright, but it wont even hold a light to a warrior/raptor. the warrior has done excellent with hillclimbs. i cant get over how much torque they have. when i was riding the recon, i would try to get as much speed as i could in 2nd or 3rd gear before i hit the hills because you would have to downshift going up the hill and end up at almost a crawl at the tops. with the warrior, you can hit the hills and you can keep the lil beast in the same gear all the way up. i havent had any problems with it so far. it has a good amount of power to fly through the trails, but i'm still planning on modifying it. not necessarily that it needs it, but more because it's a hobby. i would also recommend yfm350central.com. i spend a lot of time checking out the site. lots a good info.

hi, i was just wondering why yamaha would do such a mean thing to the warrior. think about it they have this beast of a quad with its own name then they turn it into another raptor, now there is a raptor 50 80 350 660 700. Dont you think that may be pushing it and why get rid of the warrior when the raptor 350 is a warrior slighlty modified. i was just wondering

Have never had any probs with my Raptor 350 -knock on wood- hope not to either. So far I love the bike, its an awsome trail machine, and it handles wonderfly. It will slide and jump just fine.
