street legal?

Default street legal?

has any one ever converted ther quad to be street legal or herd of someone who has and what it took to do so.

It's been done before. It's regulated by your local laws, so you'd have to contact a local authority such as a shop that does state inspections for cars, or better yet, motorcycles. Some places only require a horn, turn signals, a mirror, and a license plate, while other areas make it almost impossible.

recon99 is that a pic of a cop at a donut place if so that is funny but i got something that beats it.. Althought i did not have a camera!!! GRRR! i was on vaction and it was about 5:30 AM and i saw 2 cop cars with there lights on so of course i looked over there and there doors where wide open and they were no where in sight. Then i looked up and the were at a Best Donuts!! i couldnt stop laughing and crying B/C i didnt have a camera!

I set mine up to be street legal. I contacted our state DOT to find out if it was possible and if so, what the requirements were. In South Dakota you need a horn, mirror, tail light/brake light, light for the license plate (if the tail light won't light it up), brakes on all wheels, over 200cc's and insurance. I've seen a lot of cops and they never look twice at me. I can take it anywhere but the interstate. Like recon99 said, check with your local and state laws to see if you can do it and what the requirements are if you can.

Mine is street legal also. I called the local police dept, and they told me what I needed.

Alot of states make it really hard to get it street legaled, but soem place that allow it require a horn, turn signals, rear light bar, mirrors and some other things but chech out your local dmv or somethin

You guys are lucky in california it is illegal period. ther is some law about how the original manufacturer has to have the vehicle SMOGED and have a smog ratting. if they dont you cant drive it on the road even if you have it smogged yourself.
