01' RAPTOR 660 REVERSE QUESTIONS

Default 01' RAPTOR 660 REVERSE QUESTIONS

I RECENTLY JUST PURCHASED MY FIRST RAPTOR AND I AM HAVING SOME PROBLEMS... THE REVERSE SWITCH IS BROKEN, AND I CAN GET IT INTO REVERSE BUT WHEN I AM DOWN SHIFTING IT TRIES TO GO INTO REVERSE IS THERE A WAY TO ADJUST THE CABLE OR ANYTHING? I DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO REPLACE MY TRANSMISSION..IF ANYONE HAS ANY IDEAS OR SUGGESTIONS PLEASE HELP...

Default 01' RAPTOR 660 REVERSE QUESTIONS

You can pick up a Dr. D reverse lever from magicracing.com or rockymountainatv.com and move the switch to your handlebars. It's a really sweet setup, and it's adjustable to tighten the cable where you can't accidently shift into reverse.

Yup, Im running a Dr.D and its WAY better than the switch.

Is there away that I could just adjust the cable and keep the switch on the fender?

Default 01' RAPTOR 660 REVERSE QUESTIONS

Just follow the cable from the switch a little way and you will see a fat area, That is the adjustment joint. You cable is to tight for some reason and is pulling on the reverse lever. Also check to make sure the cable bracket attached to the frame under the shifter is not bent.
