it's not about hey my banshee is faster then your raptor, or vice versa. Like twentycharacters with stock sporckets you can only get it to go so fast, the engine has a limit to the RPM (revolutions per minute) it can spin, once it goes through the tranny the front sprocket spins AT MAX a certain RPM. If you reach that RPM you quad is Topped Out. To go faster you have to change the sprockets, either bigger front or smaller back but in either case you loose 'mad' acceleration.

This post is the funnies post I think I've ever looked at. I agree with everyone in this post about the banshee and raptor top speeds not topping the 70s mph. I had a highly modified 250r and racing my buddy's stock banshee was pretty well neck to neck. My 250r would run mid 70's on the drag. The shop I bought the R from drag raced it in KY. As many people said the top speed of anything over 60 is usless for riding anything other than a straight line. My stock 700 sportsman will get up to mid 60's according to speedo and GPS and my buddy's 06 Rhino is right along the same. Both us have 26's.

 

well folks the original topic was will a S T O C K bike go in the 90s any1 in here with a lil bit of mechanical knowledge knows you can build a bike that goes that fast ive see a turbocharged can am outlander with 153 rear wheel horsepower but thats not the point there is not a stock bike that will do 90 nor was there ever these big coorperations lawyers wont allow it think about it any big bore bike these days can do way more than it does top end but the on board computer retards the power down besides why in the hell does any1 wanna go that fast it dosent take skill to go 90 mph just a lack of respect for your own life if you wanna ride come with me damn goin fast climb some steep **** find a mudhole you cant stand up in then your ridin ive had a banshee and a raptor to me they those things are for wastin money well maybe if you have dunes to ride in but other than that a waste some ppl in here need to try some riding that takes skill ive grown up in the south all we have is mud ive been doin it since is was 12 and im still learning

 

I really don't think there is a stock quad that will do 90 MPH, not unless thier are some MODS. I have a DS650 and I got it up to 81 MPH (stock).

 

most bikes thes days are limited dwn to the mid 70s

Its foolishness being discussed on here !!! i have ridden a 98 Banshee for sale here at a local Quad shop with Toomy T5's and V force reeds and it was a clean quad but stock other than the pipes and reed blocks and it wouldnt even pull the front tires off the ground !!! I gave it all she had and it might have hit 60 ish on top !! It was a doGGGG . I was plannin on buying it until i rode it . BUT !! I have owned a 97 Banshee that , with FmF Gold Series Pipes, Rad Valve reeds, and some VP 112 Fuel WOULD RUN EVERY BIT OF 90MPH with a 92 Mustang LX right behind me as my radar. AND THEY WILL DAMN SURE OUTRUN A BLASTER OR A RAPTOR !! The only stock quad ever ! faster than a Banshee ,was the a Suk 500 Quadracer. ASPHALT TELLS NO LIES .

 

LUKE DUKE here , and as far as i am concerned FOUR STROKES SUCK !!!!!!!!!! PLEASE BRING BACK THE TWO STROKE in FULL ASSAULT !!! four pokes are just easier to wheeleeee from a dead stand still .
