Default Hot Cam s1 or s2

Well i need to ask about the jeting since you just reminded me. I dont even know where to start with the jetting. I need some idea on what sizes to start out with. As of right now, before all the work my dyno was max power 40.94, and 37.05 torque. How much more horse power am i looking at?

I have:

686 s2 hot cam, 10.75:1 comp. with springs

connecting rod by hot rods

Ported head, stock valves

full pro circuit T4 exhaust

+ 4 degrees timing (degree key)

pro flo intake (k&n) with lid off

40/12 sprockets

Oh man i got a great question..... Did anyone change their rods by there selves or did you send it to a shop? I was looking at the clymer and i dont have a crank shaft separation tool or a crank shaft installation tool... I dont mind doing all the work but is there any way to do it cheaper? (no stealership) Oh and if i do get the crank shaft out, how do i get the rod off the crank????? I know it seperates, just dont tell me i need a crank shaft splitter upper, rod removerer tool also..

Please help, everything is on the way. My woman will crap if i have to spend any more money......

Sounds to me like you want more top end power so you sould really look at the stage2 I think that would be the better set up for you

I was told that if you buy the wiseco crank assembly with the rod, you can do it yourself. No special tools needed. I had mine done cause I needed a bunch of other work done to my low end. If, not, I would have done it myself....because of my wife. (They just don't understand)

Crack the case, pull out the old one and drop in the new one. If you buy a 385 gram piston, then you are balanced if you use the wiseco crank assembly. Call wiseco to verify.

Well the piston is a JE 10.75:1 and the rod is from hot rods. I have no idea about the weight, didnt even cross my mind.

Id toss that JE in the garbage and get yourself a wiseco or ross piston. That JE will crack and make a nice big hole in the head and mess up your cylinder. Do a search for JE and read how many people have had problems with JEs cracking, the try to find something bad about wiseco or ross pistons.

Ditto on the JE piston. They just don't work in a Raptor. Return it if you can. The wiseco 11:1 is good and inexpensive. I belive it weighs 385 grams. CP is another great piston, but is costs a little more. I can't speak for Ross.

Did you have your intake boots match ported? If not, then you probably have mild porting.

I would start with 175/180 mains, 27.5 pilots, stock needles in the middle position.

If you really want a power gain, switch to a CT or sparks exhaust. Your T-4 will limit you.
