Default OK to transport on their tails?

I wanted a sanity check before I attempted to carry my Blaster and Badger long distances "standing up." I realize the need for properly strapping them down from the associated unstability, but other than that should I worry about anything else? I wash them on their tails all the time and don't have a problem with gas or oil leaking out. Anybody got for or against advice?
Thanks,
Matt

I don't think you can cause any damage if you do it right. I'd drain most of the gas out of the tank so it's not running out of the gas cap breather, and shut the fuel petcock to off so gas doesn't go pouring out of the carb into the airbox.
