Yamaharider8998,

Because they are you friends ask them if you can clean up around the shop, wash quads, etc.. to pay the bill. In the process you might learn enough that you can do the repairs yourself next time.

Default how screwed am i

750 dollars, erm well i have a trials bikes, dropped it in water once by accident. it was under for 5 secs tops. erm it ended up costing 700 pounds erm, it had just got a new head gasket costing 340 pound. quads are cheap to fix, lol. i spent 1040 pound on my bike and it still doesnt run right. i know exactly how you feel though............i have empathy for you

I don't know what type of facility these friends work out of, but remember they are a business so they have to make some money or they will soon be out of business. They have salarys, tools, light bill, insurance, phone bill, advertising, trash service, uniforms, just to name a few to pay for.
I am speaking from a repair shop owners standpoint instead of a consumers standpoint. I know the consumer wants to pay the least for the most. I don't know if they are getting to you a little or not but just chock it us to a learning experience and go on. I have definatly had my fair share of those that cost me a lot more than the $$$ you are talking. Another thing I have learned is not to do business with friends. It seems to always be an akward situation.
I am not trying to start an argument but just keep this in mind the next time.
A wise man once said if you want to play be prepared to pay.

what kind of trials bike do u have?

i have a limited edition bultace sherco, its 98/150. erm but its 7 years old, and i want a new one now. do you ride them?
