Default 700r Oil Recommendation? Synthetic? Brand??

I heard through the dealer network that it is not good to run synthetic until after 20 hours of use? Anyone hear that one?

That is very true, as I mentioned earlier, never use synthetic until your engine is fully broken in, synthetic oil is so very efficient in reducing friction that your rings and other engine components will not seat in properly if used too early in your engines life. Wait a few hours and hard rides first.

SuperSuzuki4 I can get you Amsoil for your next oil change, you don't have to leave home to get it.

After all your comments about Amsoil I have checked it out down here in Australia and found it. Just wondering which one you use, is it SAE 10W-40 Synthetic Motorcycle Oil (MCF)?

Out of interest it costs $17 AU per quart (just under 1 litre) which would be about $25 US.

nmorale2 a locale dealer probably give a better price than the online store. If you don't know a local dealer, you might consider becoming a dealer. It cost only $60 dollars to start with no inventory requirements. Or become a preferred customer for only $10. Check it out at TextAmsoil

I have a Raptor 350 (not a 700r) but anyways I put synthetic mobile 10/40 motorcycle in my quad, works fine. You can find it at most autozones or murrys (don't know if you even have them in Cali) otherwist just get motorcycle oil from your dealer.
