#1
Does anyone have a problem starting there 700r in the cold? I left it over night when i went to start it, it wouldnt. It was about 25 out. It would start for a secong then shut off. It took me about 10 tries till it started. Has anyone gone through this?

Yea I had that problem...it was about 20 and it had trouble starting. It kept pumping fuel to try and start it. Now what i do is hold the starter button down no longer than 5 seconds. It has started fine like that in the cold weather

I have the same problem with mine.I have noticed cold start problems since new.Seems like alot of 700 owners live out west in warmer climate on this site.I started mine yesterday morning to move it outside and it just kept dying out.I let it run for 15 minutes or so.It sat outside till about 8 at night and it started fine.I thought it might have been from starting and shutting it off and not letting it warm up all the way.I have the dynojet pcIII so if it happens again I will hook up my labtop and check it.I have had a problem with mine since new with cold start sputter and stall but warm it is 100 percent.I had it to my dealer before I put my programer on and they did not have the factory YAMAHA reprogramer at that time, now they have it and tell me that they can fix it but I dont think they will be happy about my programmer so dont know what to do.Warm weather is coming I gues I will see if it gets better.

They say it runs really rich in the cold mode (like a choke). You're not trying to give it throttle when its cold, are you? Some people have fouled out a plug giving it gas while its cold cause of the richness.
