Wheel bearings?

Default Wheel bearings?

Hello i might be doing the wheel bearings on my 01 koidiak. I was wondering if i should order these from yamaha or if i buy some nnew bearings on say ebay am i going to get as good of product. I know it will be more money to buy yamaha parts but i will spend the money rather than buy something i get half the life out of

Default Wheel bearings?

Well here in oklahoma..There are alot of oil feald part stores...so iv taken bearing to a parts store and have them match them up...and there the same thing..But you can get them for about 3 bucks a peace...But it dont matter where you get them thats the easy part...Taking the old ones out is the hard part...Heres a tip...If you can get the old ones out with just a chissle and hammer....Get a welder and just put a tack weld in the middle of the baring..and that will let you get a good hold of it with your chissle were you can hit it hard enought to get it out....they can be a pain sometimes..

Default Wheel bearings?

If you can find pivot works bearings, i'd get those. I wouldn't buy all ***** bearings, or a no-name brand bearings. If you can't find pivot works, get the yamaha replacements, they are good quality.
