hey guys i am trying to help out my teacher.....for once lol well he is looking for a fourwheeler to drag logs out of the bush at his farm and to check on everything he wants to spend under 5000$ CND and i found a 2000 grizzly 600 with a plow, winch and backseat for 3900$ around here thats a pretty good price considering its in great shape with 3200km's well I was wondering if these had CV belt tranny's? because i know they are not the greatest for towing

Belts arent a wear item on any yamaha, they should last for many hard years of abuse.
As long as he keeps it in low, for the really hard pulling, it should be great. I think they are rated at 1100 pounds for pulling, which means it can do the job.

ok i am going to recomend it to him, well you guys help me out hes lookin for a quad under 5000$US to pull logs and stuff and that will not get stuck in ruts so i guess irs would be a good thing but not extremely needed, he needs somthing with power i told him to get either honda or yamaha because well polaris suck(i don't wanna start a fight but they do they allways break) i heard the older arctic cats arnt very reliable, kawasaki's are geared too high for work and yeh so if anyone has any sugestions i am open to them

I have a 2001 600 Grizzly, and have used it more than once to do the heavy pulling that you are talking about. It has always worked great. The quad has a lot of bottom end power, and pulls better than all the other quads I have ridden with.
