What 4 wheeler to buy?

Go with the Wolverine and you will not be sorry!!
It has great power and great handling for a 4 wheel drive machine.....I have a 2001 Wolverine and love it, I haven't had any problems at all.
I also have heard the belt on the the polaris can get wet and slip and when it does it gets hot and burns the belt and it has to be replaced.

HEY RAPTORCHIC! I ALSO THINK THAT YOU SHOULD GO WITH A WOLVERINE BECAUSE ITS GOIN TO BE MORE RELIABLE THAN A SCRAMBLER AND YOU WILL HAVE ALOT MORE FUN ON A YAMAHA THAN A POLARIS.HOPE YOU MAKE A GOOD CHOICE!! RIDE SAFE!!

I love Yamaha and have been riding them for 25 years. I currently own a Raptor and a Warrior. But when it came to buying an ATV for my wife, she wanted a FULL automatic that could keep up. She also wanted 4x4 to ensure she could get through the muck I get stuck in occasionally.
Our choice...The Scrambler 400 4x4. This has been the perfect bike for her. Smooth ride, great power.
Remember this is the Yamaha forum and take the above comments with a grain of salt. My belt has only slipped a little when drowning the bike (not normal riding) and all you have to do is let the bike idle for a few minutes and any slipping is gone. And I don't think you'll find any faster FULL automatic 4x4 ATV on the market than the Polaris bikes. That's their niche market.
Good hunting!

Try the Wolverine, it has an auto-clutch, its sporty, it's fast and it's four wheel drive. You can play in the mud while the boy's watch. And unless you're machanically inclined I'd steer clear of anything Polaris.....yeah they ride nice but at the expense of suspension components not built for ATV's....according to my pals.

Go with the scrambler.
My riding buddy has a prepped scrambler and he can almost keep up with me in drag races, but has a hard time through bumps (until he changes springs and shocks).
A 400 scram is THE choice.
Belt slipping? that like the Loch Ness Monster, everybody knows it, but no one has seen it for real. His bike was in water quite deep (the exhaust was bubbling underwater) and the belt didn't slip. Look in the signature, on my site, there's a pic of me in water...no slipping either.
You won't have troubles with that.
