Default synthetic amsoil and clutches

My buddy bought a 04 raptor 660 and we think the clutch is slippin. It just dont have the power that mine has. When you gas it it just seems like it spins in there for a second. I know the guy he bought it from and me and him think that the clutch is slippin and may be time for a new one. he runs synthetic oil in it though. I hear on here that synthetic makes clutches slip. But the oil he is running is the amsoil synthetic. I read on here that the amsoil synthetic isnt bad though. My question is do we switch it back to yamalube, or its time for a new clutch.
But really my friend got an awsome deal. He got a 04 limited edition Raptor, for 3000 bucks, and it has full Alien pipe, k&n, and jetted right. I think thats a pretty good price. well let me know what yall think on the oil and clutch and all that. thanks for all the help

there's a versino of Amsoil synthetic in a 10w40 and 20w50 versino that is specific for motorcycles and is wet clutch compatible... if he got regular car oil .. that would cause it..

20-50 seems a little thick, I'd try 10-40 keep in mind once you go synthetic you can'tgo back.................I think.

Amsoil makes a specific synthetic oil for ATV's w/ wet clutch systems. I recently used it to change my oil and haven't had any problems. Less smoke during cold starts too.....great oil. As mentioned earlier, be very carefuul when using automobile synthetic oils, some have additives that are not compatible with wet clutch systems.
