Ok guys i dont wish to get beat down in a hail of bullets here first post an all but well yep you guessed it its a jetting problem;
Bellow is my spec and currently it is set up on a dyno with the dyno jet S2 kit but the installer wouldnt put in the larger 175 180 jets that came with the K&N Power Lid and he said it was running a little lean but because they were new filters that would be fine.
I seen ages ago an article in DW mag where they had the pipe test and ran a lot of bikes with 160+ jets and one made 48hp now im only @ 38 which i know is around stock and i am not happy the guy that installs is a champion on Track Bikes but no one here dyno's their quads so i think thats the problem.
So any way i am in N Ireland which means your never to far from sea level im at about 800ft and mostly forest trails ect no real racing and im running on 97RON fuel.
Can a good kind knowledgeable person tell me what i should be jetting at and what needles/positions ect should i use i have remaining dyno jet kit and 2 jets from power lid kit to use?

Do you know if the jets that K&N sent with the powerlid are Dynojets or Mikunis? Either way, I probably wouldn't use them. I've seen what K&N recommends for their powerlid and I think its way too rich.
I would probably go with what Dynojet recommends with their stage 2 kit. I'd set my air/fuel screws 3 turns out, put the DJ needles on 4th clip, and use the two biggest jets in the kit (148/150) for starters. You should be good on the bottom with that set up but might want more fuel for the top. If so, call DJ and order bigger Dynojets from them. I'd get the 155, 160, 165. I doubt you'll need anything bigger with your set up. If you do go with the bigger DJ main jets, you might have to raise the needle clip (lower the needle) to the 3rd slot.
Its better to do this yourself cause you might have to try different settings and main jets before you get it where you want it.

Jets are Mikunis of sizes 150+155+170+175
Installed are sizes DJ142+DJ144
It states on the DJ instructions to use the DJ142-DJ144 with stock set up and well its hardly stock,but as you say the biggest are the DJ148+DJ150
So i'll try your idea first ans see how that goes, can you explain to me the main difference in needle position/reason for setting it at 1-5 please and if you know the relation of mixture screw/jet size or is this more complex?
Sorry for sounding a mong but im more used with EFI and turbo tuning
