I threw some Raptor bend Renthals on mine, the bend is higher and a touch further back than stock. Pretty nice, but all of the cables/contro;s are basically at there limit. You would have to buy longer brake hose at least if you were to add a +1 stem to my setup. Anti-vibe would be NICE though!

I am looking at buying the pro taper contour 1 1/8 bars
31.5' width 4.75' height 2.17' pull back
+1' stem Cables will also probably be at there max huh?

When I get the oversived bars is there any such thing as oversized grips? Going to be a pain trying to get reg grips over an extra 1/4 diameter. Any ideals that will make them slide on nice and stay on? Not much for losing grips at the back of the dunes. Be a slippery ride back =0. lol

Thanks
Kevin

Pro tapers are 7/8" at the control area, all of your grips and controls will fit like normal. I'm not sure if they sell bars that are 1 1/8" the whole way or not, although there are manufacturers that do.

No, the same grips, fat bars are only bigger in between the handles then taper off to 7/8". I put a +1" on a 2006. The 2006 is almost an inch taller stock then an 04/05 and the cables reached just fine, could probably went another inch without worry. The reason I went with the Trail Tech bars is for height, they are the only bars that I know of just for atvs so the height matches your stock bars. If you buy Protaper or Renthal your gonna lose height cause they are about half the height of the xbars. So, I guess a plus 2 steering stem with Renthals or ProTaper's might be close to stock, IMO why spend money unless your gonna get some decent results, Im only 5'8 and the stock bars felt low to me so I felt I needed them higher. You cant beat the value of the Burgard steering stem though, I know they do not have the "name" the other very expensive brands do but I was very happy with the quality of mine and the apperence is very good too, nice deep chrome

You can get Pro tapers and Renthals in atv bends. If you aren't sure just what you want, you can always buy a cheap set of steel bars for under $20.00, then take 'em along as a spare if you buy better ones later on. The Moose atv high bend looks to be about the same as the Raptor bend I have.

I went to the local mx store with my stock bars and none of the bars came close to the stock height bars except the trail tech, but maybe there are some I over looked, atv bend and height are two different things. They may have the bend ( sweep ) but still seem to lack the height. I have pro taper's on my yz 450 but the xbars on my yfz

You can purchase bars with the exact same sweep, height, etc as many popular model atv's. My local shop had Renthals in both a YFZ "bend" that matched my stock bars perfectly, and a Raptor "bend" that were a bit taller and more swept back than the stockers. No doubt your shop had plenty of bars for dirtbikes laying around too, maybe that is where the confusion comes in? I know for a fact all the major bar manufacturers sell atv specific bends, it is too big of a market to ignore.

I'm 6'1 and I have a +2 ARS/FX stem and FLEXX bars and also 1/2 in. lower ROLL footpegs(This setup definitely makes the YFZ feel alot more comfy for a taller rider). The FLEXX bars are well worth the money!

How much are the pegs? Prob about 200-300?? Ill probably just leave the stockers on there. Thanks for all the replys on the bars/stem! I got everything ordered stem/bars/grips. Glad the bars are normal at the ends =p was sweatin putting on them grips lol. Hate new grips such a pain to put them on. Any methods that will make them slide on easier and hold good?
