Hey Guys
I Bought an 04 Grizzly about 2 weeks ago, at the time everything seemed to be fine. The first time out i got in water a little deeper than i thought. I somehow got water in the oil, after 7 oil changes finally no water. But now machine is smoking when I give it gas. Any ideas what could cause this? The machine only has 270 miles on it.

 

We had a KFX700 do this. Once we changed the oil and filter on it. The smoking stopped.

It took 7 oil changes to get all the water out. That has already been done, it is still smoking.

 

You can't hurt it to ride it. It has oil in the top end....It will eventually burn off.....if you burn 1/2 tank or more...if not then you may need new rings, but a fat chance of that

 

How did water get into the oil in the first place?


Just seen that you didnt know... Check for leaks maybe? Could have a leak on a seal or somthing donno if that would cause it to smoke or not?

 

Really not sure how water got there, the only thing i can find is thru crank case vent that runs to air box, I didn't think I was quite that deep but I dont see any other entry point. Any other ways for water entry?
